#90: Dr Andrew Huberman - Stanford Neuroscientist On The Rules Of Long-Lasting Adaptive Brain Change

Welcome back!

We are in the middle of a global pandemic. Whilst we’ve placed such a focus on saving physical health, we’re socially isolated from the people and activities we love, gyms are closed and there’s a lot of stress over whether our physical and safety needs will be met.

Que, Professor Andrew Huberman. @hubermanlab

Andrew is a neuroscientist and tenured professor at Stanford University’s school of Medicine.

Andrew has made numerous contributions to the field of neuroscience particularly for brain development and brain plasticity.

In this episode with Andrew, we discuss the brain and how it’s affected, we discuss the rise in Internet pornography and Tik Tok during the pandemic and what it’s doing, as well as practical, evidence-based tools to aid with things like stress, to sleep better, the neuroscience of gratitude and how to re-wire our brains in the midst of everything that’s going on.

Before we start the episode, I want to give a big shout-out, to you the listener. After nearly 3 years, our friends at Chartable have now informed us that we’ve now officially made it to the top 100 of every global podcast chart, including number 1 in many of them, so I cannot thank you for enough for tuning in. From the bottom of my heart, it means so much and lets keep up this insane momentum.
